This blog was conceived as a project for a university course focused on family and public policy. As students focused on promoting measures that encourage and protect families, we felt this blog would be an appropriate means to present current issues concerning policies surrounding fatherhood as it is related to the family structure.
In this blog, we focus on the traditional, nuclear family consisting of a mother, father, and children. We strongly believe that both mothers and fathers make necessary and unique contributions to each other and to the children they raise. We respect motherhood and admire the love and care that women give their children. We feel that, in some respects, good fathers do not receive the respect and attention they deserve. As women who seek to raise families with good fathers, we have a special interest in writing about the contributions that good fathers make to their families and to society.
